| Anecdote* | RALPH DE PYNKENEY, third Baron of Weedon, his sone and heir, gave in that year a fine of "forty marks of silver to the King for livery for his father's landsPipe Roll Soc. Pub., 31 Hen. I, p.81. Baker in his Hist. of Northampton is evidently in error, in giving the "daughter of Simon de Chenduit", and twenty marks of silver that he might take to wife the wife Simon de Chaisendoit" *Chenduit). Baker states that he had six sons, Gilbert, Ghilo, Ralph, Hugo, Anscher and Peter. This has not been verified and he gives no authority ffor his statement. | |
